Meet the Optometrist

Doctor Lisitsyn practices primary eye care. His offices are equipped with state-of-the-art ophthalmic instruments for the treatment and diagnosis of a wide range of ocular conditions. He specializes in soft and hard contact lens fitting, including keratoconic fits. Doctor Lisitsyn is also proficient in pediatric eye care, vision therapy evaluations, and treatments of amblyopia as well as other vision dysfunctions. Our practice's goal is to provide professional, yet personal care and to attend to every need of every patient we see.

With extensive advanced training in visual screening, eye surgery, and diagnosing chronic conditions, Nina Saa, OD, offers both routine checkups and urgent-care eye treatment. Dr. Saa welcomes patients to VistaSite Eye Care in New York City.  

As a Bronx native, Dr. Saa stayed in her hometown for much of her education and training. She completed her undergraduate studies in science from Pace University in New York City. Dr. Saa then conducted research projects in optometry with the State University of New York College of Optometry. After focusing on vision screening research, Dr. Saa ultimately graduated with her doctor of optometry degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.

Throughout her internship training, Dr. Saa was able to care for patients of all ages, from children to geriatric adults. She went through comprehensive hands-on training with vision therapy exercises, syntonics (light frequencies), and atypical tailored treatment for the most complex of eye conditions and surgeries.

Whenever possible, Dr. Saa strives to serve her community and provide care for the underserved. She’s spent time working with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity on their Caribbean mission trips to give free eye exams and eye care for patients in need.

Dr. Saa’s fluency in both English and Spanish allows patients of multiple cultural backgrounds to effectively communicate with her. Her patients commend her caring and compassionate bedside manner.

With his diverse education and hands-on training in ophthalmology and optometry, Dmitri Bondarenko, OD, helps patients manage chronic eye conditions, while ultimately improving their vision. Dr. Bondarenko treats patients at the VistaSite Eye Care locations in Brooklyn and Valley Stream, New York.

After earning his medical degree from First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg in Russia, Dr. Bondarenko completed his residency in ophthalmology at the same institution. He then relocated to the United States and finished his doctor of optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry.

An extensive medical background enables Dr. Bondarenko to expertly diagnose and treat complex eye conditions that can impair a patient’s quality of life. He has special interests in glaucoma, flashers and floaters, color vision deficiency, and retinitis. Dr. Bondarenko even has comprehensive training in correcting nearsightedness (myopia), as well as farsightedness (hypermetropia).

Not only is Dr. Bondarenko fluent in English; he’s also fluent in Russian. This gives him the ability to communicate with patients who might otherwise struggle with language barriers. When Dr. Bondarenko isn’t busy caring for patients, he enjoys reading, skiing, and cycling.

Dr. Chisom Iwuanyanwu earned her Optometry degree from Imo State University. Licensed to practice in New York and Pennsylvania. Dr. Iwuanyanwu is driven and passionate about enhancing her patient’s eyehealth and vision.

Dr. Iwuanyanwu practices full scope primary care Optometry specializing in Dry Eye Management and soon will be offering myopia control at the BayPlaza VistaSite Location.
