Our doctor will also examine how your pupils adjust to the light and use a slit lamp to magnify and light up the front portion of your eye, which includes the lens, iris, cornea and the back of the eye. Our optometrist might dilate your pupils and use an ophthalmoscope to look at the retina, eye fluid, retinal blood vessels and a portion of the optic nerve.
